Access to Government

• Keep the constituents of District 78 informed of the work and availability of positions on commissions, advisory councils, and boards which serve Clayton County, the state of Georgia, and the country and also keep those who make the appointments abreast of community individuals who would be assets to the work of the various boards and commissions.
• Develop a strategy to interact with industry in promoting constituent legislative priorities and to gain support and reduce roadblocks.
• Arrange for personal meetings with the Chairman and members of committees who study and analyze issues which are important to the constituents in District 78.
• Provide advocacy representation to constituents who need assistance with various applications and/or compliance issues

Building Coalitions with Municipalities and County Government

The creation of a Coalition of the officials of Municipalities and County Government which networks across diverse groups and interest and works to build a better Clayton County which is critical to the growth of democracy and development of the community!  Both aligned and opposed interests must to come together and collaboratively address common issues and concerns.  An agenda must be developed which fosters unity, defines power and developmental plans, and lends itself to addressing and alleviating concerns on the most persistent complaints about the state of its potential in improving the quality of life for Clayton County citizens.

This agenda must guide elected officials and community leaders in long term and day-to-day decision making.  The plan must illustrate an overall community mission and vision, identify issues and opportunities, and provide goals, policies, and objectives to ensure that the mission is met and the vision becomes a reality.
